Plaquette decorated with a folding plate engraved on copper representing the remarkable Punishment of Jacques le Normand, forger, thief, and public misappropriator, fired in Paris, at Gaillard's house. - Broc, known as Pied montois stopped & led to Valence en Dauphiné. S.l.n.d. [c. 1750]. 2 pages in-4, untied. An account of the capture of this captain, successor of General Mandrin, and the horrible cruelties that this scoundrel badge committed in several Provinces of France & other places, even in the Provinces of Savoye. Decorated with a wood representing smugglers in particular. Joints: 3 engraved portraits of Louis Mandrin and a copper plate showing the arrest of the head of the smugglers of France and his band of bandits.
