Very rare first edition of this treatise on Spagyric Medicine, giving preparations and remedies to cure the seven Diseases considered incurable until now and now made curable by the Chemical Medical Art (leprosy, epilepsy, cancer, etc.). Beautiful frontispiece combining the portraits of Louis XIII (flatteringly named by the epithet Hercules Gallicus), Hippocrates and Paracelsus, and a full-page portrait of the author, both engraved on copper by Michel Lasne. Armoured bookplate engraved from the D. Laus de Boissy library. Frontispiece a little cut on the lateral edge. Freckles, old traces of humidity on about ten final leaves, small gallery of worms in the bottom of a few leaves. Lining and last guard renewed. Stained vellum.
