Rare collective edition, corrected and published by Friedricus Bitiskius, decorated with a beautiful portrait of the author engraved intaglio by François Chauveau after Le Tintoretto and numerous talismanic figures on wood illustrating the seven books of the Magic Archidox.
Volume I brings together Paracelsus' medical works, Volume II his magical, philosophical, astronomical and alchemical works, and Volume III his treatises on surgery and anatomy. Following the last volume is an 18-page supplement containing a vocabulary of the terms used by Paracelsus in his books, will, etc.
At the beginning of the first volume, 2 manuscript pages in folio, of a 17th or 18th century writing, were bound at the top of the first volume, giving some medicinal remedies.
Portrait of the author in facsimile, freckles, gallery and wormholes on the edge of a few pages. Binding rubs, backs past.
