Geneva, Jean Antoine & Samuel de Tournes, 1658. 3 volumes in 2 volumes in-folio, green marooned half-basane, green marooned paper dishes, back decorated with gilded nets, (19th century binding). Rare collective edition, corrected and published by Friedricus Bitiskius, decorated with a beautiful portrait of the author engraved intaglio by François Chauveau after Le Tintoretto and numerous talismanic figures on wood illustrating the seven books of the Magic Archidox. Volume I brings together Paracelsus' medical works, Volume II his magical, philosophical, astronomical and alchemical works, and Volume III his treatises on surgery and anatomy. Following the last volume is an 18-page supplement containing a vocabulary of the terms used by Paracelsus in his books, will, etc. At the beginning of the first volume, 2 manuscript pages in folio, of a 17th or 18th century writing, were bound at the top of the first volume, giving some medicinal remedies.
