MANUSCRIT. — LIVRE D'ARCANDAM. [XVIIe siècle]
In-8 manuscript (163 x 102 mm) of about 220 sheets, marbled brown calf, decorated back, gilded edges (17th century binding). 17th century astrological manuscript from the Book of Arcandam, first published in 1542 in Paris by the canon and doctor Richard Roussat under the title De veritatibus et praedictionibus Astrologiae. The text, adjusted, is embellished with 2 pen drawings outside the text (square horoscope and the twelve signs of the Zodiac). A note on flying paper indicates that this manuscript came from the library of René Alleau, close to the alchemists Albert Poisson and Eugène Canseliet, and author of a bibliography entitled Bibliotheca Hermetica. A few leaves slightly rusted. Binding a little used.
