MANUSCRIT. — [FLUDD (Robert)]
Analysis of the Treaty of Flud[sic] entitled De exacta alimenti panis seu tritici anatomia, seu Clavis philosophica minor [...]. N/A [18th century]. In-4 manuscript (260 x 185 mm) of 34 and 18 pages, marbled basane, old plates, decorated back, red title piece, case (modern binding). Precious commented analysis of two treatises by Robert Fludd, probably written by an 18th century French alchemist. The manuscript, of a fine tight and leaning writing, is decorated with 2 original pen drawings. The author clearly summarizes and comments, chapter by chapter, on two treatises that have never been translated into French: the first, on the anatomy of wheat (or wheat), in which Fludd reports his alchemical experiments on this cereal and describes the physical and mystical anatomy of the human body (the Latin text appeared in 1623 in the Sectionis primae de anatomia triplici); the second, a treatise entitled De generali raritatis et densitatis mysterio. Robert Fludd (1574-1637), a famous English doctor and astrologer and member of the Rosicrucians, has never ceased to question the origin of the World and that of Man, as shown by his many books on the macrocosm and the microcosm, both rare and curious, published in the years 1610 and 1620.
