MANUSCRIT. — BIBARD (Jean)
Vade mecum. [1912]. In-8 manuscript (183 x 115 mm) of about 300 pages, soft blue percaline binding (period binding). The author, a man named Jean Bibard, has recorded in this manuscript various recipes (industrial, household, scientific and medicinal), given the properties of the most common plants and delivered some of the most famous conjuration formulas. The entries, preceded by Preliminary Reflections dated May 3, 1916, are arranged in alphabetical order. Interesting manuscript, carefully copied and written in a perfectly readable handwriting, decorated with a very beautiful original pen drawing depicting an alchemist and serving as a title page. The manuscript has not been completed and stops at the letter R, the remaining pages being blank.
