edition given by Lenglet-Dufresnoy, containing, in addition to the famous novel, various alchemical texts (t. III, pp. 171-296): the Remonstrances of Nature to the Wandering Alchemist, the Alchemist's Response to Nature, Arnaud de Villeneuve's Testament on the Philosopher's Stone, a small treatise on alchemy by Nicolas Flamel entitled Le Sommaire philosophique, the Fontaine des amoureux de Science by Jean de La Fontaine de Valenciennes or the Balade du secret des philosophes.
Copy of the indeterminate number affixed in the 19th century (number M with an imperial crown).
Without the rare Supplement to the Glossary, published in 1737 (cf. Caillet, n°6097).
Small lack of paper on the edge and bottom corner of 2 sheets in Volume III, without loss of text. Rubbed corners, small gaps in some caps and minimal crack in jaws.
